The Los Angeles Lakers overcame a dreadful shooting performance in the first half and rallied to an 83-79 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Thursday.

Kobe Bryant led all players with 23 points and 16 rebounds, but it was teammate Pau Gasol who sparked the comeback that enabled the Lakers to repeat as champions. The Spaniard blocked Paul Pierce and then came down the court to put the Lakers up by six with 1:30 left at Staples Center.
